Welcome to the world of Eric Bartels, entrepreneur, philosopher, author, musician, teacher. Eric has been an entrepreneur now for more then 20 years, always operating in highly innovative fields, like the Internet, e-commerce, and multichannel marketing. In 1988 Eric co-founded the first world wide Internet shop, called Shopnet. This was before the launch of the world wide web. In 1990 Eric co-founded the first European electronic marketplace, called TransOpen. In 1996 Eric co-founded the first European multichannel communications agency, called MagicMinds. The profession ‘multichannel communications’ was created by Eric and his team and is now widely accepted and implemented.

In 2002 Eric broke off his long-term relationship with co-entrepreneur and best friend Joris Kniep to start his own company Unthink. “There has been this personal development where I started out as a real ego in suit with a company selling material products, to a man doing exactly what he loves to do most: helping people and companies find their meaning and transform their lives, writing books, giving lectures and seminars”, Eric says today, “So my career is one long journey from matter to mind, from ego to self and from ambition to self-fulfillment. I am really proud of that development.”
